13 18 Descending From Mera Peak High Camp To Mera La With Makalu And Chamlang, Malanphulan And Peak 41, And Off The Glacier Towards Khare With Kusum Kanguru And Peak 43 Kyashar, Mera Peak [8 of 8]It took just 35 minutes to descend from Mera High Camp (5770m) to the Mera La (5415m) with views ahead to Peak 41, Makalu and Chamlang. The trail turns left at the Mera La and follows the glacier with views ahead to Malanphulan, and then Kusum Kanguru and Peak 43 Kyashar. The trail descends steeply in slushy slippery snow before reaching the rocks after 25 minutes from the Mera La. The view of Mera Peak from just off the Mera Glacier clearly shows the angle of ascent from Mera High Camp to the Central and North Summits.
